Pineapple Pictures the Image Viewer, Now on itch.io!

This is a tool instead of a game, Although itch.io says the store is not just for games, it still seems a little bit weird since most tools on itch.io is more or less game-related, but anyway I upload this tool here, and let's see if it'll be fine :)

Actually, this tool is designed for myself. I use the classic Windows built-in image viewer a lot since Windows 7, that util doesn't support GIF playback and SVG viewing so I did use some alternative image viewer specifically for those two formats. Then the UWP image viewer replaced the old one after the Windows 10 upgrade with slower launch speed and also come with image management feature that I'll never use, then I decided to write my own simple image viewer to use.

We know lots of people write image viewer or music player as a test project when they are getting started with a new UI framework, so you can also know this project will not be a hard-to-implement project. But this project is for fitting my personal usage at the beginning of the time, so this project is intended to fit my own need than learning a UI framework. Qt has a pretty decent image plugin system, so it can be very easy to implement new format support and use it cross-platform. Also thanks to kimageformats, this tool not only supports basic image formats like JPG, PNG, GIF, SVG, WEBP but also comes with supports a lot of image formats like PSD, KRA, XCF formats <3

Although it's for myself in the first place, one of my friends finds out it's very handy and useful for his need too, so I decided to make this tool publicly available so others can also use this tool if they have the same need as me. My other friend also finds out it can be very handy to use it as a stay-on-top window for putting a reference image on it and work with other software, so I also enhanced that feature. We both know there are tons of image viewer over the internet, By sharing this tool, I hope other people can also get benefit from this tool if they also find out it's useful in some case :)

Putting this tool on itch.io can make use of itch.io's version checks and auto-update features, I saw itch.io has a nice protocol to do incremental update so I can make use of it. Then users no longer need to check for updates manually and do manual installation every time I update this tool. Since I don't know how to do Linux cross-distro packaging so there is no Linux version at this time, I did provide a PKGBUILD for Archlinux which can be seen from AUR, and also a ubuntu 20.04 package packaged by GitHub action by using CPack (I actually also did check the docs about how to submit a package to distros like Arch and Debian but it seems much more complex than what I thought). Anyway hope that can be helpful for people who would like to use this tool.
